Affiliate Disclosure

Last Updated: October 9, 2026

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Think Different is written and run by Jakub Jirák. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links: if you follow one and buy something, or start a membership, the merchant pays this site a commission. It never adds to what you pay.

Where the links are

Cards labelled Affiliate offer appear inside articles and beside reviews, and the same links sit on review and book pages. Every card button is marked rel="sponsored" and each card repeats the relevant disclosure next to it.

Amazon

This site takes part in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to let sites earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites. Links to Amazon carry my Associates tag; commission is earned only on qualifying purchases.

Two of the offers are not products but memberships: Audible and Amazon Prime. Amazon pays a fixed fee when a reader starts one through such a link. The cards quote no trial length, price or fee, because Amazon changes them and your country decides what you are offered. Check the terms on Amazon's page before you sign up.

The cards show no prices either. Prices, stock and delivery change by the hour and by country, so the only price that counts is the one on the merchant's page when you check out.

Review units and partner offers

Many reviews here are of hardware or software that the maker sent to the blog free of charge. When that is the case, the review says so at the top, in a box headed How this one got here, and names the maker.

The arrangement is always the same. The maker sends a unit for review, and in thanks the blog carries their offer next to the review for a fixed period, 60 days. No money changes hands and nothing in the arrangement depends on the verdict, so a review says what the time with the product showed, including the parts the maker would rather leave out. These placements are a thank-you rather than a payment; some include a discount code the maker supplied, shown exactly as they gave it.

A maker's offer for a product I have reviewed is the only offer shown beside that review. A reader should not be steered, under a write-up of one product, towards something the article never examined.

What affiliate income does not change

  • Verdicts. Whether a product earns a commission has no bearing on what a review concludes about it.
  • Price. You pay the same through an affiliate link as without one.
  • Coverage. I do not sell verdicts, and I do not run sponsored articles as reviews.

What the site records about a click

When you click a card, the site records which product, which merchant, where on the page the card sat and which article it was on. It records nothing about you. The merchant will set its own cookies once you arrive on its page; how it uses them is covered by its own policy and by our Privacy Policy.
